Oops! Using Your Mistakes and Heartaches to Glorify God

But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. --    2 Corinthians 1:6

What do you have that could be of benefit to others?

That's the question you may ask yourself every time you go exploring through your attic or garage. You realize how much you tend to keep and accumulate. You also realize...maybe it's time to give that stuff away.

When it comes to the junk in your own personal life, however --the mistakes you've made, the poor judgment you've exercised, the hurt you've caused -- You tend to hoard that stuff in a perpetual closet.

Did you know God may have a purpose for your personal "junk" too?

How about using your "junk" for God's Glory and mentoring others? It doesn't matter  if you feel you aren't qualified or if you don't think you know the Bible well enough.  You could be helping younger folks not make your mistakes.

Everyone struggles. Everyone. That's why the main skill needed to help others is your own knowledge from mistakes you've made...plus a heavy dose of Biblical reference.

You could be helping others.  So....clean out the closet of your experiences and SHARE.

Weakness and disappointment provide some of our best resources for sharing life messages with others.

You see, it's not junk if somebody else can use it. The only way it becomes a waste is if we're afraid to admit it's still hidden in our closet.

Don't be unwilling to let God use your garbage for His glory.

Start giving stuff away.  Use your mistakes and heartaches to glorify God.
