Happy Last Day of June! Let's Finish Ruth !

As we are on the last day of June, we wanted to share some last thoughts on RUTH! Be sure to read through the Book of Ruth !

After our Brunch and Ruth Bible Study Saturday, Deb made a good point about Naomi and Eliminech:

When there was famine, Eliminech chose to leave the promised land of Bethlehem to travel to Moab. He forgot to trust God when he left for Moab. He may have known he was going against God's will, but he was desperate.

The consequences were disastrous. After many years and many losses (all the men died!) Naomi probably knew that she needed to "return" to God in more than one way. She needed to return to the promised land. She needed to get back to GOD.

We can learn from this. Perhaps we have found ourself in a "place" that is far away from God (maybe not physically, but emotionally). We did not trust Him and we left His care.

Maybe we don't have to travel physically back to God, like Naomi, but perhaps we need to pull up stakes in our muddied life and return to God mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

This may not be easy. Like Naomi, we may experience some remorse, pain and doubt (remember Naomi changed her name and grieved when she got home to Bethlehem) BUT..............................

God works all things for good for those who love the Lord (Romans 8:28)!!!!!!!

We don't have to "fix" things -- we just have to get out of our sin and bring our brokeness to God.

In HIS timing....He will fix things. (Ruth and Naomi had to go through a process)

If you're with Naomi, somewhere in the foreign land of sin and temptation -- leave that sin and come into God's presence.

Sit there at the feet of your Savior, asking for forgiveness and committing your life to Christ....HE will provide according to HIS will!

SEE YOU TOMORROW IN PROVERBS!

Every day in July, read a Proverb a Day and check out www.faithfamilyresourcecenter.blogspot.com!

GOD BLESS!
